Russia is Resolving Southern Boundary

There is no doubt that the Ukraine issue is a clear unresolved border issue left over from the breakup of the USSR.  Crimea should never have been part of the Ukraine to start with and substantial parts of the eastern Ukraine do properly belong to Russia.  This all fell out this way without any attempt to do it right.

The complete weakness and folly of Barack Obama has opened the door for a simple annexation of the appropriate territories.  This should be negotiated.  However that involves moving a European Armored Corp with American support into the western Ukraine to squat while everyone talks it out.  Peoples may have to also be dislodged as well or at least reconciled.

Russia has shown strength and in the Slavic mindset it is now necessary for NATO to show strength.  That would be good enough to have a pleasant tea over how to properly produce secure borders and compensate those who need to move.

Understand that Russia is sorting out its southern border.  This can still end well and leave a solid Ukraine in place that is a homogenous state.  Territory is a small price to pay to be rid of their Russian population which skews the situation.

We are going to let Russia make the necessary corrections.  It just needs to be formalized.

Russia is Aggressive Feeling God is Now on Their Side

Black Sea-- A Russian SU-24 Fencer fighter jet aggressively taunted the US destroyer Donald Cook in the Black Sea by making “numerous close-range low-altitude passes on Saturday while the destroyer was conducting operations in international waters east of Romania. The Navy tried to communicate with the Russians, but to no avail. The aircraft did not respond to multiple queries and is inconsistent with international protocols. The Russian fighter jet flew within 1,000 yards of the ship that carries helicopters at an altitude of about 500 feet.

The destroyer was deployed to the Black Sea on April 10, in the wake of the Russian military takeover of Ukraine’s Crimea region and ongoing unrest there. The Su-24's fixed armament is a single fast-firing GSh-6-23 cannon with 500 rounds of ammunition, mounted in the fuselage underside. Two or four R-60 AA-8 'Aphid') infrared missiles are usually carried for self-defense by the Su-24M/24MK. The escalation comes just as the United States is preparing to unveil to NATO leaders a list of recommendations on how to best ease the concerns of its skittish Eastern European allies after the stealthy Russian invasion and annexation of an eastern Ukraine peninsula. Riots and the takeover by protesters of numerous government buildings in a dozen cities is occurring by pro-Russian people in Eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian military retake back an airfield in Eastern Ukraine, but some soldiers are defecting. Be aware Putin is a Christian who attends church regularly And feels "If God is for us, who can be against us?"(Romans 8:31). Putin claims Ukraine is about to have a civil war.

The Orthodox Church has long been central to Russian identity—ever since 988 A.D., when Vladimir the Great opted to convert to Byzantium’s form of Christianity rather than Rome’s. The church’s power continued uncontested until the overthrow of the tsars in the early 20th century, when it became a prime target for the new revolutionaries. When Lenin came to power in 1917, the Soviet Union started the persecution of Christians as 200,000 clergy were killed and 41,000 churches destroyed. Until 1989 the church was allowed to barely survive under strict Secret Service supervision but it now has grown greatly with the approval of the Russian Government. Vladmir Putin is very likely to attempt to gain areas once controlled by the Soviet Union as he has done in Crimea. He will likely invade Eastern Ukraine to build a land road to Crimea, as well as Latvia where 20% of the people are Russian. Putin knows that NATO and the US will unlikely risk war with the US so far in debt.

Patrick Buchanan writes, Vladimir Putin is very intelligent man and realizes that Communism failed because of its denial of God and Christianity. Russia is now a Christian country and Putin is saying. Christianity is growing rapidly in Russia as it declines in NATO countries. In his Kremlin defense of Russia’s annexation of Crimea, Vladimir Putin, even before he began listing the battles where Russian blood had been shed on Crimean soil, spoke of an older deeper bond. Putin said,“Crimea Is where Prince Vladimir was baptized and adopted Christian Orthodoxy that predetermined the overall basis of the culture, civilization and human values that unite the peoples of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.” This speech recalls last December’s address where the former KGB chief spoke of Russia as standing against a decadent West with weak leaders. “Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values. Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and a same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in Satan. This is the path to degradation.” Heard any Western leader, say, Barack Obama, talk like that lately or even attend church? Indicting the “Bolsheviks” who gave away Crimea to Ukraine, Putin declared, “May God judge them.” What is going on here? With Marxism-Leninism a dead faith, Putin is saying the new ideological struggle is between a debauched West led by the United States and a traditionalist world Russia would be proud to lead. In the new war of beliefs, Putin is saying, “It is Russia that is on God’s side. The West is Sodom and Gomorrah.” Vladimir Putin claims to stand on higher moral ground; he knows exactly what he is doing, and his new claim has a venerable lineage. Putin is entering a claim that Moscow is the Godly City of today and command post of the counter-reformation against the new paganism in the West. Putin is plugging into some of the modern world’s most powerful currents. Not only in his defiance of what much of the world sees as America’s arrogant drive for global hegemony. Not only in his tribal defense of lost Russians left behind when the USSR disintegrated. He is also tapping into the worldwide revulsion of and resistance to the sewage of a hedonistic secular and social revolution coming out of the West. In the culture war for the future of mankind, Putin is planting Russia’s flag firmly on the side of traditional Christianity. His recent speeches carry echoes of John Paul II whose Evangelism Vitae in 1995 excoriated the West for its embrace of a “culture of death.”

What did Pope John Paul mean by moral crimes? “The West’s capitulation to a sexual revolution of easy divorce, rampant promiscuity, pornography, homosexuality, abortion, same-sex marriage, euthanasia, assisted suicide — the displacement of Christian values by Hollywood values,” may cause the death knell of the West. Thanks to Pat Buchanan

The Angel of the Lord Attended the Resurrection of Jesus

Without the resurrection, it is quite certain there would have been no Christian church. There is no doubt that He really did die on the cross. Pilate was given assurance of this by the centurion. The savage spear thrust into His side by the soldier made certain of His death, "and forthwith came there out blood and water," evidencing complete collapse of the heart cavity. (John 19:34) With the ignominious death of Jesus Christ his disciples were utterly confused and afraid for their own lives. After the Romans crucify Jesus, he is anointed and buried in a new tomb by Joseph of Arimathea. After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. 5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” 8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” Mathew 28

Jesus appears to many over a span of forty days before his ascension to Heaven, to sit at the Right Hand of God. Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday, the third day after Good Friday, the day of his crucifixion. But with the assurance that Christ was alive, the disciples went forth everywhere proclaiming the resurrection, and multitudes became believers in their Living Lord. If the resurrection is really a demonstrable fact of history, then not only are His claims vindicated, but so are His promises. Death is not, after all, the great victor, but is a defeated foe.

After saying this, Jesus was taken up while those who had gathered together were watching, and a cloud took him out of their sight. Jesus was going away, and the apostles were looking into the sky. Suddenly, two men (angels) wearing white clothes stood beside them. The two men said to the apostles, "Men from Galilee, why are you standing here looking into the sky? You saw Jesus carried away from you into heaven. He will come back in the same way you saw him go." —Acts 1:6-11
